Canton Mountain Wind
A six to eight turbine site is anticipated atop Canton Mountain in Canton, Maine.  Studies to minimize the project’s environmental impacts are currently underway.

Bird and bat studies were conducted in the spring and fall of 2010. Wetland resource delineations and rare, threatened and endangered plant species surveys were also conducted in 2010. A 196-foot meteorological tower, used to collect site-specific wind data, was installed in June 2010.

Permit applications were submitted to the Maine Department of Environmental Protection in December 2011.
